Achieving a uniform internal lining is the final defense against corrosion in high-value pipeline assets. The BLAST APEX Internal Pipe Coater is a technical spray system designed to apply high-performance epoxies and polyurethanes to the interior of pipes with absolute 360° coverage.
Optimized for diameters from 2 inch to 36 inch, this tool eliminates the limitations of manual internal coating. Using a high-speed rotating spray head and an adjustable centering wheel carriage, it ensures a consistent Wet Film Thickness (WFT) throughout the entire linear run, satisfying the most rigorous refinery and pipeline engineering specifications.
Spray Atomization Principle
The coater works in synchronization with an Airless Painting Pump, directing pressurized coating material through a specialized internal lance. At the head, a high-velocity rotating nozzle uses centrifugal force or pneumatic atomization to create a perfect 360° spray fan. The centering wheel carriage ensures the spray head remains equidistant from the pipe walls, preventing runs, sags, or holidays in the internal lining. This technical logic allows for rapid, high-build coating of long pipeline runs with minimal material waste.
