Frequently Asked Questions
What industry sectors does BLAST APEX serve?
BLAST APEX serves three primary sectors: (1) Oil & Gas — refinery tank farms, pipelines, offshore platforms, petrochemical plants. (2) Maritime — dry dock hull blasting, ballast tanks, ship decks, port structures. (3) Infrastructure — bridges, metro stations, airports, industrial building structural steel. We also serve Power & Energy (wind tower foundations, solar structures, turbine coatings) and general manufacturing.
Does BLAST APEX have experience in refinery environments?
Yes — we have extensive refinery experience including tank farm maintenance blasting under NACE SP0508. Our crews hold confined space entry certifications and follow OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146 procedures. We provide NACE-certified inspectors for all refinery projects. Third-party inspection is available per project requirements. Hydrocarbon atmosphere monitoring (LEL below 10%) is mandatory on all tank interior work.
Does BLAST APEX serve shipyards and dry dock projects?
Yes. Our shipyard experience covers dry dock hull blasting to Sa2.5 per ISO 8501-1, ballast tank surface preparation per IMO Resolution A.1049(27), and topside/maintenance repainting. We supply abrasive media, blast equipment, and skilled crew for shipyard shutdowns and maintenance cycles. BLAST APEX has supplied equipment to major Indian shipyards and served vessel maintenance at Mumbai Port and Jebel Ali.
