Boss rotary-screw compressors sized to nozzle CFM. BLAST APEX resale. Pair with an ASME receiver.
Home / Air compressor for sandblasting
A blast nozzle is a hole that wants a continuous CFM at pressure. Tank litres on a piston compressor are not that number. An 8 mm (#5) nozzle wants about 161 CFM at 100 PSI at the tip, then margin for hose loss and a worn orifice. BLAST APEX therefore quotes Boss CK 10-50 and XL 60-175 screw machines, 100% duty, on one page. Size CFM to the nozzle with /guides/cfm-table.
Put a receiver next to the pot. Long hose and a dumping vessel make the screw hunt if there is no buffer. Moisture separators matter: wet air clumps slag and packs nozzles. Size from /guides/cfm-table, then one step up.
Machines are resale. Service and spares follow the Boss line we quote, not a fake BLAST APEX compressor SKU. Tell us nozzle size, number of operators and site voltage. WhatsApp +91 73033 03342.
Two operators on 8 mm nozzles are not one XLPM-60. CFM adds. So does leaky hose. If the tender lists “45 HP compressor” without CFM, we will still size from the nozzle table and write Boss model + CFM on the PI. That avoids buying a piston that dies after twenty minutes of blast.
About 161 CFM at 100 PSI at the tip, plus margin. XLPM-60 class is the usual quote. See /guides/cfm-table.
Only for short bursts. Duty cycle and pulsing CFM drop nozzle PSI. Production blasting wants a screw.
