• Anchor / surface profile: peak-to-valley roughness the coating keys into. Measure it.
• Sa 2.5: ISO 8501-1 very thorough blast (near-white). Most Indian industrial specs.
• Sa 3: white metal. Immersion and severe service only when the spec says so.
• CFM: continuous air volume. Sizes the compressor to the nozzle, not the pot litres.
• Holiday: pinhole or discontinuity in a lining. Spark-test thick films.
• Dew point: temperature where moisture condenses. Steel must stay above it before paint.
• Metering valve: sets abrasive into the air stream. Too rich clogs. Too lean slows cleaning.
