- Supplied air or rated respirator. No one in the plume without PPE.
- Cordon the area. Warn other trades. Check for live electrics and confined space.
- Drain moisture. Conductive hose. Hearing protection.
Supplied-air or a rated blast helmet beats a paper dust mask. Slag and silica dust are not a DIY paint-day risk. Leather suit, gloves, hearing protection, and a working dead-man are the minimum on a BLAST APEX spread. Whip-checks on every coupling. No one in the plume without PPE.
